Vacancies

We are looking for an Individual Needs Assistant for our children who require additional support. 

 The role will mainly involve working 1:1 with a child, with a small group in a classroom or within our Nurture Provision. 

 This is an ideal role for somebody who has experience of supporting children with their learning, emotional wellbeing or behaviour challenges. 

 The team element would also suit someone who is passionate about developing their skills and knowledge in supporting children with SEND. 

 Normal working hours will be Monday to Friday 8:30am until 1.00pm and 3 afternoons 1.15pm - 3.15pm inclusive of 5 hours MDSA duty at lunchtime. This is a Fixed Term post until July 2027. 

 The successful candidate will: - 

 Have an understanding of SEND and the importance of inclusion; 

  • Enjoy working with children, remaining calm, patient and nurturing in response to challenging behaviour; 

  • Have high expectations of children’s achievement; 

  • Be innovative; creating exciting and engaging learning opportunities; 

  • Work well as part of a team with the staff and with our wider community 

 

Chantry Community Primary School is a small school with a community feel, situated in Bexhill-on-Sea. At Chantry we are passionate about providing high quality teaching and learning through our creative curriculum.  We are a school where everyone works hard to support children’s emotional development as well as their academic learning.
